It is small (as you would expect from a postcard calendar) and the stand is a little flimsy, but the pictures are nice. There are fourteen postcards, one for each month plus a cover card and a gold foil card. The monthly cards are also sticker pages. Each one has six or eight pictures of various sizes on it, and the individual pictures can be peeled off and used as stickers. The cards come in a black cardboard box that doubles as the stand, but as I said it is not very sturdy. The stand can be disassembled, which means you can use it as a calendar without having to tear off a card each month. For more details see the 3x3 Eyes Info news page. (BTW, this is by no means the smallest anime calendar, as I saw a Slam Dunk calendar that comes in a CD single case, about 8cm square.) November 19, 1997Nuku Nuku TV Series!A Bannou Bunka Neko Musume (All-Purpose Cultural Cat Girl) TV series will be broadcast on TV Tokyo beginning January 7. This series is based on characters created by Yuzo Takada, and originally appeared as a 6-episode OAV series from 1992 to 1994. A manga series by Takada-sensei began publication in the monthly magazine Shonen Ace in November of this year. Newtype magazine reports that the voice actors for the OAV series have been retained for the TV series, including Megumi Hayashibara as Nuku Nuku. In addition to the old favorites, many new characters will also appear. 3x3 Eyes ~Sanjiyan Henjou~ PC Game HelpI just got this game about two weeks ago, and it took me a while to get it running under U.S. Windows 95. (This is the rerelease of the Becoming a Sanjiyan game with Win95 support. Win95 support in this case is a WinG version, but it seems to work fine for me. It's DirectX 5.0 I have problems with.) The game seems to be working very well now, though I haven't had a chance to actually play very far. Anyway, while trying to get the game to run I started hacking on the file formats. The animation and music files were simple enough (just add .avi and .mid extensions, respectively), but the graphics files have me mystified. If anyone can shed some light on what kind of weird file format they're using, please send me email. I'll post any notes along with the details of my experience hacking the Saturn game (that was easier, at least in some parts). Go to the News Archives for an index of past updates. |
