Title suggestion: 'Old and New Alliances' {This is a prose 'preview' of the fanfic I'm fidgeting with. In the highly unlikely event that that piece would be the basis of the new Sazan Aisu TV series, this would be what I envision as the trailer, or preview or whachamacallit ^_^} A small yacht with two triangular sails which shone pearly white in the moonlight was cutting gently through dark waves. The night was temperate, quiet and cloudless, just perfect for a pleasure ride in a boat off the harbor of Hong Kong. However, none of the passengers on the boat seemed to take pleasure in their idyllic surroundings. They were talking business, it seemed. In Japanese, even; not really an odd thing to do on a summer night off Hong Kong, perhaps, but to those who could feel such things the boat was definitely odd. "_Hai!_tono_. I will present his head on a silver platter before the summer is over." The person who spoke was a strikingly attractive young man, no more than 20 years of age with silvery-white hair, long and fine as silk. Actually, it was difficult to judge his gender from his appearance with his fine features, the slender hands on the rudder, the fair skin and delicate body. The eyelashes were long, the nose finely shapen and the lips thin, yet very expressive. The voice was melodious and quite seductive. The person the youth was talking to, on the other hand, was very much a man. He was tall and darkly handsome, with relatively short, brown hair, broad shoulders and sharp features in a smoothly shaven face. He was wearing jeans and a red sports jacket. The most dominant feature about him was, however, his eyes. They were entirely red, with a slightly lighter snake-like slit instead of the pupils. They almost seemed to glow from within with a fire nourished by the man's soul. On his forehead, a Chinese character was prominently tatooed or painted in red. The third person stood steady as a rock, not moving a muscle. Her long jet-black hair flowed freely down her back. She wore jeans and a denim jacket, and her face was weathered and slightly wrinkled. On her forehead was a Hindu dot. She was as tall as the pale-skinned youth but of stronger build and apparently of Indian origin. Her eyes, locked on the youth, had a feral quality to them. "Don't be so cocky, kid," Benaresu said. "We are talking about a Wu here. He has fought on equal terms with me; Do you think _I_ would be easy to push over?" [Benaresu has many agents. Some work in the open, others hidden in the shadows. They all do his bidding, however, for he is the Wu of Kaiyan Wang, the Demon Eyed King and acts on his behalf.] Benaresu closed his eyes in concentration for a few seconds. Then he opened them again and looked out across the sea towards the harbor which lay bathed in the lights of the city. "In there, at Aberdeen, I almost got her under my command... a good five years ago. She was strong; it took me, the most powerful Wu in the world, a whole week to regenerate after the battle. Now, only a short while ago, they had the nerve to attack my fortress. Don't make the mistake of engaging her head on. You would never survive." Just as he finished the sentence, the boat suddenly shook as a wave seemingly rose out of nothing. Without a sound, a huge, black form, easily the size of the boat, rose to the surface. It looked most of all like a huge ray, but the greyish, scaly skin, the absence of a tail, the twin rows of yard-long horns down the back and the three basketball-sized eyes set on each side of and above a huge maw filled with small sharp teeth made it certain that this was no ray. Even before the boat had calmed down again, Benaresu effortlessly made the 12-metre jump from where he stood on the boat to the back of the creature. Without looking back, he ordered the beast to carry him ashore. However, for all his power he has not been able to subdue the young Sanjiyan Unkara, Parvati, and her Human Wu, Fujii Yakumo. And now faces from the past reforge old alliances to thwart his goals!] A black-haired woman poured tea in two porcelain cups of surprisingly fine quality, considering how the rest of her belongings looked. The night had and the heat was slowly going down from unbearable to barely tolerable. The woman looked past her prime. She was dressed in clothes that looked ancient and worn with battered armor platings attached to her left sholder, both hips and across her slightly sagging breasts. Her eyes and mouth were lined with the wrinkles of age, her pointy ears were becoming brittle and stiff and the skin exposed by her clothing had lost the elasticity of youth. But her eyes were still clear and there was no excessive body fat to be seen anywhere on a well-trained, lean frame. The fluent movements she displayed while putting the kettle down and handing one of the cups to the person on the other side of the dying campfire also stated in no uncertain terms that the woman had lost none of her agility to age. Haan went out of the tent and took a look around. They had camped in the shadow of a small mountain in a small, forested valley. The vegetation was unlike what he was used to, but it was dense enough to provide cover, and there were open stretches of plains all around, making it difficult for anyone to sneak up on them unseen. The woman was eating. Haan watched her. As she finished and rinsed her eating bowl, he felt that it was time to ask her, "Why was I in that coffin?" [What does fate have in store for the 'pityful Humans when demons fight to settle scores as old as time itself? Even while a new dawn is approaching, the forces of night do not rest idle...] {NOTE: Lines in brackets like [this] are to be seen as a 'neutral narration'; and yes, they _are_ meant to be this cheesy ^_^;; Those who have seen Manga UK's anime previews know _exactly_ what I mean /^_^ The title is chosen as 'Old and New Alliances', because the fic revolves around treason and friendship between people and demons who have met each other in the manga storyline, as well as a couple of my own creations.}

Well, here goes: I read the contest info. and am looking at the rumor of there being a possible t.v. series. since it is a different format (not the oavs) and for some people this may be there first time being experienced to the world of 3x3 Eyes. So my idea is that the t.v. series would start over from the beginning. it would basically be the same story but there could be a few new plot twists (sort of like Tenchi TV). Instead of the normal beginning of Yakumo's dad dying of a disease and sending Pai to look for Yakumo to help her find the ningen, maybe Yakumo's dad heard stories of a race called the Sanjiyan and traveled around the world to find the last remaining member. After befriending Pai, he learned that she wanted to become human. And since he knew where the ningen was, he could help her. But before he could tell her, Benares who has been searching for the statue himself and knows that Satoru knows where it is. He manages to get the information from Satoru and then leaves. Pai then shows up and sees Satoru dying, with his few remaining breaths he tells Pai of his son Yakumo. Then it becomes a race between Pai and Benares to see who can reach Yakumo first. The story pretty much goes on like normal from there, with Yakumo becoming Pai's Wu and all. As for a name for the t.v. series: 3x3 Eyes TV: The Search for Humanity.

Konichi wa! Don't you find it odd that most Anime fans include some Japanese in their E-mails? Well actually, I don't find it odd at all, but I wonder how many of us actually go out and learn Japanese... it is very different form English.... but Anywayz I am a big 3x3 eyes fan, I have been since I first rented it form my local video store and I think the new series, if their ever is one, should be called: "3x3 eyes: The TV series" Ha ha, yeah right! Announcer: "And the awards for the stupidest entry to the contest is... Mike!" Ok, seriously I would name it something like "3x3 eyes: Legend of the third eye" or maybe "3x3 eyes: The Sazan legend" Well, I can't think of much else, Im sure I could if I spent a few more hours at it with a good thesaurus to look up strange big words that nobody knows the meaning of, I hope you find that winning entry! Best of luck to all the contestants!
